FAQs
What is flexibend?
Flexibend is a research-backed stretch method designed to help real bodies feel lighter, move easier, and release built-up tension. Small group sessions blend guided flexibility and mobility work to restore natural movement without the pressure of a workout or the formality of a clinic. 1:1 sessions include assisted stretching, where we do the work with you, helping you reach deeper ranges of motion safely and effectively.
How is this different from yoga, pilates?
Flexibend isn’t yoga or Pilates. There’s no flow sequence to follow or rigid form. Instead, sessions focus on long-hold passive stretches to safely improve flexibility over time. It’s not about perfection. It’s about real results that feel good in your body.
ARe these stretch & mobility classes good for beginners?
Yes. flexibend is designed to meet you where you are. You don’t need to be flexible or fit just open to feeling better. Every session is guided, paced, and supportive.
Can stretch & mobility classes help with back tension, tight hips, and stiff shoulders?
Absolutely. While not a medical treatment, our sessions are designed to reduce tension in common areas like hips, back, and shoulders.
Is this physical therapy?
No. flexibend is not physical therapy. however, it’s often helpful for people who want to bridge that gap between at-home stretching and pt. Always consult your provider if you're currently in rehab.
Can flexibend improve flexibility?
Yes. Flexibend is specifically designed to improve flexibility through targeted, guided stretching techniques. Our approach is rooted in current research showing that consistent stretching over time (typically 6–8 weeks) can increase range of motion, reduce tension, and support long-term mobility. Whether you're tight from sitting all day or from training hard, Flexibend helps you release restrictions and create space to move more freely.
Can i participate in a session if i’m injured?
No, you should not do a session if you are injured. flexibend is designed to support how your body moves and feels but it’s not a replacement for medical treatment or rehab.
That said, if you’re dealing with general stiffness, tightness, or past injuries that have healed, and with the clearance of your doctor, our method can help you rebuild mobility, strength, and confidence in your movement.
